The Journal of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Sciences (ISSN 3048-5843; NLM ID: 9801900), popularly known as JMAPS, is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal. JMAPS, formerly known as Current Research on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CROMAPS; ISSN 0253-7125.), has been a prominent publication in the field since its inception in 1979. It was later renamed in 1996 to reflect its focus on medicinal and aromatic plant sciences. JMAPS publishes original research articles, short communications, and reviews on all aspects (agriculture, botany, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, tissue culture, genetics, plant breeding, genetic resources, conservation, domestication, authentication, pharmacology, ethnobotany, processing technology, post-harvest management, etc.) of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) and their applications/products. It also provides data on the production, utilization, export, import, and market trend analysis of MAPs and related products. An additional attraction of JMAPS is the registration reports on new varieties of MAPs.
